ROSE SOCIETY SPONSORS

Our Rose Society Sponsorship Program:

Over the years, we have established “business relationships” with several prominent nurseries and suppliers of horticultural products in our area – to serve the mutual benefit of our Society and their business.  Briefly, we will visit their place of business, conduct a seminar on “How To Grow Roses” or the use of their products, or participate in questions and answers from their customers on an informal basis, or assist customers in the selection of needed products.  (In short, we will do whatever they want us to do to benefit their business.)  Additionally, we publicize their business with our Rose Show Posters and Flyers, and we recommend and endorse their products through our monthly newsletter and whenever we address the general public.  In return, the business provides a tax-deductible donation to the San Antonio Rose Society to help defray the cost of operating our society, including our semi-annual rose shows.

We have the following levels of sponsorship:

                        Gold                $1000 per year
                        Silver               $600 per year
                        Bronze             $200 per year

Following is a brief description of the current Rose Society Sponsors, with a link to their web site for more details:

Milberger’s Landscape Nursery:  (www.milbergernursery.com)   Whether you are a Master Gardener, a professional landscaper or you just like to poke around in the dirt, Milberger’s Landscape Nursery has the plant stock and the expertise to make your garden and landscape efforts a great success.  Milberger’s was voted “best plant nursery” in San Antonio.  It offers year-round color, trees and shrubs for landscape, turf grass, herbs, vegetable plants, fruit trees, roses in season and other popular seasonal plants, and a wide selection of water features. Registered Landscape Architects are available for all projects – large or small.  A variety of “On Sale” items are featured each week; Tuesdays are discount days for Seniors.

Quality Organic Products: (www.qualityorganicproducts.com) Quality Organic Products has been in business since 2005, providing the highest quality soil mixes, mulches, composts, rock and palletized stone to homeowners and landscapers.   They grind and dye all mulches on site, as well as manufacture their own soil mixes and compost, which allows them to provide the lowest possible prices, by avoiding the “middle-man”.   The QOP yard is set up to allow customers to purchase and pick up their products, or the bulk products can be delivered (minimum of 3 yards for delivery).  QOP will also deliver within a 300 mile radius of San Antonio.  QOP serves the public – wholesalers and landscapers.

New Earth Soils & Compost:  (www.newearthcompost.com)  New Earth is probably the area’s largest provider of natural soils and compost.  New Earth recently acquired Lady Bug Natural Brand.  New Earth is located on 115 acres off IH-10 East between Foster Road and FM 1516 (just east of the large water tower).  New Earth has a complete selection of soil mixes, compost, mulches, and rocks.  They are happy to sell or deliver in bulk.  In addition, they have an extensive bagging operation and distribute their bagged products through many local garden centers as well as soil and stone providers.  Likewise, Lady Bug distributes their bagged products through an extensive network of garden centers and horticultural providers.

Lady Bug Natural Brand:  (www.ladybugbrand.com)  Lady Bug Brand natural gardening products include fertilizers, mulches, soils and compost for the organic-minded grower.  Lady Bug markets a complete line of bagged products from their bulk supply organic gardening headquarters in Austin.  You will find Lady Bug bagged products available at most prominent garden centers.  Lady Bug products are carefully formulated by organic gardening expert John Dromgoole.  They are continuing to build a line of specialized quality bulk products for a variety of situations.
